Our second stop in Burlington sort of deflated our excitement about the three-brewery evening there. And given some decent reviews on other beer websites, we thought this would be a solid stop. Walking in, we could tell the locals loved it. All fine there. And it’s certainly a dive, but no big deal there. Ordering a pint of their IPA, we were reminded that Smutty nose pints are only $2! I can see a brewery having guest taps, no problem. But shouldn’t the house beers be encouraged? Or at least not discouraged? But after tasting them (IPA and helles bock), I suppose we would’ve encouraged Smuttynose as well. Oh well, we left two half pints on the table and made as subtle an exit as we could.
